Take the extra year and try to get an 80% GMAT Range. I had 6 years experience and a 520...6 progressive years of experience that is. I got into a couple of schools. But it's hit or miss and def tough. If you et an interview you'll have to make sure you go prepared and "nail it" and be con...

When I mentioned slowly and steadily practicing problems, I meant that after studying for about 2 months I decided to give myself a break..but to make sure I don't lose track of anything I would study a few problems here and there just to make sure I don't forget anything. I am planning on taking a ...

Best Review Books???
I managed to finish my Kaplan last month. Prior to Kaplan, I studied on my own using the following: 2011 GMAT Premiere with Online CD OG 12th Edition 2nd Edition Verbal and Quantitative. I was able to purchase the MGMAT Guides and thought of purchasing the Kaplan800 as well. I need to focus on Verba...

Aside from the point decrease, your practice CAT's seem to indicate that you actually do know the material. Maybe you just had an off day (it happens). I would try to relax hone in on material to make sure you still grasp basic concepts and have a strategic approach to your problem solving on both v...

550-->RC Killed me...Any Advice / Help?
I took a practice CAT about 2 weeks ago and scored a 510. I studied more content, went over the results of the exam. About a week 1/2 later took another practice CAT and increased my score to a 550. Overall, Reading Comprehension KILLED me...Out of 14 questions I only answered 3 correctly. I believe...

I have been struggling for the exam myself. My scores are 340 (bombed it no studying)...370(rushed because I was accepted into this program called MLT MBA Prep and they needed a score of 500 or higher and I only had 1 month to do it)..and a 440. Overall my score increased by 100 points but that's no...

Your score is valid for up to 4 years. You have a competitive score within a reasonable time-frame. I don't feel there is any need for you to have to retake the exam unless you are aiming to score above a 710 by a significant amount. I don't know how other people feel, but that is just my opinion.

You answered your own question...just take it one step at a time, and make sure not to slip up on easy errors. If you know the material and understand the formulas you should be all set. Just continue to study and do online practice and drills and practice exams The GMAT is similar to track. It is n...

I have never stumbled across calculating the quadratic equation out using the FOIL method or anything. Rather, what my practice has led me to know is (a-b)(a-b); a^2-b^2; as well as(a+b)(a+b), and just identifying / recognizing these special quadratics. For example: When x is subtracted from y the r...

You have to figure out why you're getting them wrong and where your area(s) of focus needs to be. Is it basic understanding of math concepts? are you struggling with what the question is really asking you to solve for?

Practice Practice practice. that's what it comes down to. I started out very low as well but managed to increase my score by 100 points. I focused on memorizing a lot of the Math fundamentals and techniques (exponents, divisibility rules, geometry formulas, et cetera). My math increased by 9 overall...
