If a and b are positive integers divisible by 6, is 6 the greatest common divisor of a and b? (1) a = 2b + 6 (2) a = 3b IMO: D because (1) tells me that 6 is the greatest common divisor, while (2) tells me that 6 isn't, but I can't figure out why the answer is: [spoiler]OA:A[/spoiler] Source: MGMAT
