A difficult interview question
This is kind of a thought experiment. By no means am I the subject in question here, nor would anyone be I'd imagine. But anyways... Assumptions: Imagine you have a killer application (780+ gmat, 3.8+ gpa, great essays, reccs, ECs, etc) and you are applying to Wharton and 3 other sub-tier 1 schools,...

the venture capital track
Just curious here If one wants to get into Venture Capital post-MBA, what track should he or she be on while in the MBA program? (Some schools call them "tracks" it appears, other schools seem to use the more typical term "major") There appears to be classes on VC topics in both ...

Confused on College Transcript Submission
So on several of the applications I have started, the prompt for undergraduate transcripts simply asks me to upload a scanned copy of my transcript in pdf format. Is that all there is to it? It certainly appears that way. Should there not be some sort of prompt to have my undergrad university forwar...

D, an assumption stating video card manufacturers demand higher profit margins, is incorrect assumption, since a premise of the article is that profit margins are approx. the same. This is where I am confused. Is D not the right answer choice because, however wrong it may be, it isn't an unsupported...

Did I use this concept right?
This concept has yet to make sense to me (alligation i think its called), but it yields the correct answer. Can someone offer up a Barney-style explanation of this concept? From "Tough Gmat math problems" 7. A certain quantity of 40% solution is replaced with 25% solution such that the new...

Thanks! Makes sense now.
In all the quant prep materials Ive come across I havent seen a proportionality question this difficult.
Also, not sure why I labeled the post "Probability", if a mod can and wants to fix it to "Proportionality" that would be sweet. Thanks again.

129. 20 multiples of 5 in each 100 number set (5,10,15...90,95,100) = 20(10) subtract 5 from each set that are multiples of 4 (20,40,60,80,100) <-- takes care of 1000 since its "less than 1000" so now its 15(10). subtract 21 for all the multiples of 7 (manually crunched it, didn't double c...

I understand how to arrange 6 people into 4 individual speeches (6! over 2! = 360). I falter at the next step. If 3 people are speaking, (3 people speak once, 1 person gives a pair of speeches), then...??? What I did was run 6!/3!*3! to get 20 different groups of 3 speaks, then multiplied by 4!, the...

GMATPrep Exponents
Here I recognize that a possible concept is a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b). When I plugged the exponents into that format I got 2^1, for answer A, but was wrong! GMATPrep offers no explanations to its problems. If xy = 1, what is the value of 2^(x+y)^2 all over 2 ^(x-y)^2 A) 2 B) 4 C) 8 D) 16 E) 32 OA: D
