Hey, I´m from Germany, too. ;) I took the IELTS and not the TOEFL but I heard from friends that TOEFL shouldn´t be a problem if you are used to hearing english (e.g. because of watching movies). Do you read a lot in english? I have been reading english books for years now and that really came in h...

Quant Review DS 107

I was just working my way through the DS questions in the 2nd Edition Quant Review but I can´t wrap my head around the answer explanation of DS Question Number 107. It would take too long to write down the whole answer explanation but maybe someone of you has the book and could explain the solution...

Just beat the IELTS with a band 8 :)

Hi guys,

I just got my IELTS result and scored 8 out of 9. :)

Writing: 7 (not enough time, damn it)
Reading: 9
Listening: 8
Speaking: 7,5

I hope the result will be sufficient but as most schools require a 6.5 or 7 I should be safe...hopefully.

Thanks a lot! I will try this study plan. But I still have my 12th Edition of the Offcial Guide. Do you think it is necessary to purchase the 13th Edition as well?

I need to score a 550 but if I´m doing this pain in the **** test of course I´d like to do better, maybe around 600-650. Hopefully two month of studying will be enough. My problem is not the verbal par...

Just took my first prep test

After studying for eight weeks (approx. 7 hours per week) and working myself through Kaplan Premier today I took my first GMAT prep test. I scored a 610 with Verbal 34 and Quant 40. I always knew that I have to work for Quant as math isn´t my strongest suit. But I had the feeling that the Verbal qu...

Hi,
I´m just starting with preparing for the GMAT as well.
Currently I´m working my way through Kaplan 2012, which I can really recommend. It gives you a good overview of the basic principles of the GMAT and it´s questions, and I think it is a great help for getting into the topic.
