Any easier way of getting to the answer or just plug away at the prime numbers? : p I guess the question is banking on the fact that some ppl may not realize 2 is an even prime#.

I missed the 400km total distance from the question which made 2) sufficient it seems!
1) does seem awkward saying the initial 200km, so NS due to lack of knowledge about rest of the journey seems to make sense.

Just an update report... : ) If no one is reading, it will serve as my progress update to myself anyhow! Took another practice exam! Unfortunately still around 640 : ( Can't understand why... while that's discouraging... I think I AM getting better at the SC / RC portion. Looking back at the answers...

GMATPrep modifier
This one I was lost on... any lead would be good!
Saw the 3-2 split and chose the wrong pair entirely.... who can modify tribes? I thought thats' only for persons?
Furthermore, isn't amongst better for groups... why is it not B then?

When an action is in the past and ongoing, it's supposed to use has/have as the verb, no?

I narrowed it down to the two, and thought that when you're comparing actions you would add do / does at the end?
eg*
I don't have as much money as he ___.

Not super sure why the answer is such.
Which are the clauses? The sentence lists the properties of the houses.
1) conical
2) cedar or pine
3) banked w/ dirt?
Doesn't 3 have to be closer to an adjective?
