Thanks sam2304 for your suggestions. Will work on them. Do you think I should write MGMT Free CAT instead of GMATPrep as it gives a detailed breakdown of the question types one gets wrong? Also, Can you suggest some materials to practice Quant and SC questions? Thanks. Many say powerprep is not as g...

Advice required!!!
Hi, I have been preparing for GMAT for 3 months now. Wrote my first mock test(POWERPREP) with a score of 640 ( Q 44 and V 35). Have few questions. 1. Is PowerPrep score as reliable as GMATPrep score? 2. I am not unhappy with my Quants score as I made 4 silly mistakes out of 6 incorrect ones. Any sug...

Verbal Strategy
Hi, I have been preparing for more than a month now. I have started with Verbal as it is my weak area. I have completed studying the basics (for SC, CR and RC) and am practicing questions from BTG forum. However, I have not started solving OG 12 questions. My question is which one of the below 2 opt...

IMO C Let's say the 5 integers are 1, a, b, c and d. ( in ascending order). Also, a, b, c and d all are positive distinct integers. Statement 1: (1 + a + b + c + d)/5 = 4 (1 + a + b + c + d) = 20 As median is also 4 we get b = 4. So a can be either 2 or 3 Case 1: a = 2 (1 + 2 + 4 + c + d) = 20 c + d...

Hi Anurag, I tried to solve it in a different way and got E . Could you please help me understand where am i going wrong? Statement(1): r + s = 7 picking numbers: r = 3, s = 4 and r = 4, s = 3 we can say that St (1) is NOT sufficient Statement(2): r^2 – s^2 = 7 (r-s)*(r+s)= 7 Again picking numbers...

Hey Frankenstein, Thanks for the explanation. I did not realize that zero is an even integer. Thanks IMO B (1) m/2 is NOT an even integer So m/2 can be 0 or odd. Case 1: m/2 = 0 m = 0 Case 2: m/2 is odd m/2 = 2p+1 m= 2(2p+1) So m is even As m can be either 0 or even, A is not sufficient (2) m-3 is a...

IMO B
(1) m/2 is NOT an even integer
So m/2 can be 0 or odd.
Case 1: m/2 = 0
m = 0
Case 2: m/2 is odd
m/2 = 2p+1
m= 2(2p+1) So m is even
As m can be either 0 or even, A is not sufficient
(2) m-3 is an even integer
m can not be zero as 0-3 = -3 (odd)
m-3 = 2p
m= 2p+ 3
So m is odd. B is Sufficient

IMO D Reducing speed limits neither saves lives nor protects the environment. This is because the more slowly a car is driven, the more time it spends on the road spewing exhaust into the air and running the risk of colliding with other vehicles. The argument’s reasoning is flawed because the argu...

People who do not believe that others distrust them are confident in their own abilities, so people who tend to trust others think of a difficult task as a challenge rather than a threat, since this is precisely how people who are confident in their won abilities regard such tasks.
