Kellogg

Does anyone know how many words might an essay of 1-2 pages double spaced have ?
because that is what the Kellogg application states and I have no idea how much to write.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks a lot Graham, that clears up things. I would like to ask whether I can make out something positive that the adcom might be interested in hearing about from my experiences managing a micro-financing project in tribal areas ? Once again; thank you for taking the time out to answer my silly doub...

Application Query

I am not really sure where this question belongs, so I pologize in advance if it is placed in the wrong section. I work in Non-Profit, and I draw a measly 250 USD a month, but I live in a developing country so things aren't as bad as that figure suggests, will this adversely impact my chances of adm...

Parore, I am glad you bought the topic of ISB up. The salary as reported by FT is way off mark. For one thing, they took the PPP value of the actual salaries that people graduating from ISB reported, as may be read from the footnotes of the survey. So you could probably divide the given figure by 3 ...

For me, this was the most important of the points:

'When IF clause is not followed by THEN clause, replace IF with WHETHER.'

Thanks for this post. Very helpful indeed.

Well, then the high costs of Schools in the US may effectively be a deal breaker for many people from my country (Alas! I am Indian) Getting back to India with a debt of 50K-80K $ will take forever to pay off. Maybe, I could pass the debt on to my grandkids if any. Any suggestions anyone ? :( Thanks...

phew!
Thanks jelt, thanks so much for replying. It takes a huge load off of my back. Would it be a bad thing if I were to stress the importance of music in my life, during the interview ? for after all, I am a mechanical engineering graduate.

Thanks once again.

Help on Extra Curriculars

I have heard time and time again, hence I realize the importance of extra curriculars in your B school application. I have been a guitarist sine college, have played many gigs, have a band now, and we record stuff at home. I however have no certificates to prove any of this. How do I convince the ad...

Hi JK: I think your NGO experience is great! It's certainly unique, and as you said you wanted something more challenging--I think b-school committees would eat that up. So yes, I think you're being a bit paranoid about your work experience. :) You should instead be selling this unique background h...

Thanks aim-wsc and Eric, Seems that there is a huge gap between when you apply and when you join. September '09 here I come. :) Plenty of time for you to write about your admissions success in the Admissions Success Stories Forum . :) Sorry for the shameless plug--all the best! Hey Eric, Thanks for...
