Stern Essays - "Why Stern?" in essay 1 or 2?
Hi- I have been back and forth as to whether or not I should include my "Why Stern?" explanation in essay 1 or essay 2. I have already written essay 1 with the intention of explaining "Why Stern?" in essay 2, but now I'm starting to doubt my decision. Is there a right or wrong wa...

Do you think it is necessary to interpret this question literally and discuss multiple events or people? There is one event that took place in my life that is particularly significant, and it changed me over several years. I think that my essay would only be diluted if I then tried to incorporate an...

MBA Tour - What to Wear?
Hi Everyone,
I am planning to attend The MBA Tour tomorrow in NYC. Are women expected to wear a suit, or would a skirt and nice top be acceptable? It's supposed to be 100 degrees in NY tomorrow, so I am hoping that a suit is not absolutely necessary.
Any input would be appreciated!

I, too, had some difficulty with time management on the quant section. I'd be able to a whole slew of practice questions in a row and in a timely manner, but under actual testing conditions the pressure somehow got to me. It's imperative to identify questions you are unable to solve as quickly as po...

Wharton's Course Registration Auction
I recently found out that Wharton students register for classes using an online auction system. I was wondering if anyone knows more about this? Do Wharton students generally like this system? How often do students not get into the courses that they want to take?

I have to say, I think that a lot of it has to do with luck. Going into the exam, you know what your strengths and weaknesses are. If you happen to get hit with questions based on topics that are more difficult for you, you may not do as well and there's nothing you can do about it. In addition to t...

Angela, Are regular MBA students allowed to take classes that are part of the MMM program? I am very interested in design thinking, and some of the courses in the MMM program seem like they would be right up my alley. Also, what would you say Kellogg's greatest strengths and weaknesses are? Thanks, LS

7.5 Months of Hard Work, and I've Finally Beaten the GMAT
I'm happy to say that this part of the journey is over! I took the GMAT for the second time yesterday, and I scored a 680 (Q 42, V 40). I have been working tirelessly for over 7 months, not only relearning math that I haven't touched in 10 years, but also building up my confidence in order to combat...

Hi Lisa, Thank you for your response. Are there any schools in particular in the 11-40 that you would recommend I add to my list? I am looking for a school with a strong marketing program. Last Few Days Before G-Day
Hi Everyone, I am taking the exam for the first time this Saturday (in 4 days). I have been studying for about 7 months, and in my heart I feel like I have done the most that I can do at this point. For some reason, however, I cannot seem to tear myself away from the study guides. The Verbal section...
