top30

Getting into a top30 mba with my profile will boost my chances to find a great job after graduation? Can I expect my salary to increase dramatically (I only earn about 1000 eur per month now!)? Even if I have not much work experience and a non-business degree?

thanks!

but I was already graduated. I had my Bachelor's degree already. And I had finished to take my Master's degree classes. I only had to take some exams for my master, and working full time during the master lenghtened the time it took for me to get my Master. But I already had my BA, so it's post-grad...

hi Amy, actually it was a true full time job. The fact is, by that time (June 2006) I had finished attending all of my classes, and I only had to take exams (system is Italy is different from the US). So I could focus 100% on working and on studying during evening, and that was exactly what I did, s...

Hi again.
Do you think that my dvd business - as it was conducted full time (usually 5-8 hours a day counting packing, orders handling, etc) - will count as full time work experience (as it was post bachelor's degree too, as I was enrolled at a master's program)?
thanks!!

Well... basically I took my MA because in Italy it's pretty normal getting a MA after your bachelor's degree...
I'm starting to worry about reccomendations... if I volunteer, a volunteer supervisor would still be a good reccomender?

Doubt

Hi there, I have a big doubt... I'm graduating from my Master in Anthropology in February but I've been working full-time as a Quality Insurance vice manager ever since last september. I have a doubt... I could be relocating this late summer (moving to live with my girlfriend) and this would mean ch...

Well, I think that retaking it would put a lot of pression on me, as it makes my 680 worthless... I mean, if I had the awareness that a 680 would still leave me in a highly competitive position to get into a top30 school, that would surely ease tension and pressure... But the idea that I have to imp...

Well, your background surely look stellar. In fact, you're applying to Wharton while I'd be very happy with a MBA at USC or Texas-Austin. Really, I don't aim to top-5 schools, I look at the 15-30 range :) Yeah, true that. Every individual is unique, and knowing why you want a MBA surely helps. I'd l...

error

Probably I spotted the error in my post... I have 2 years and 9 months of full time work experience, not just 1 year and 6 months! It's almost the double, so it's my fault! Actually - as I started to work with my employer 3 months before graduation, I have 3 years of full-time work experience... Wel...

Jelt

Jelt, I appreciate your honesty, but as you said you don't know much about how to translate work experience across cultures. Just to let you know, If an average american student is graduated by the age of 22, an average italian student is graduated at the age of 24/25 according to the month of his b...
