speed of the train = 72000/3600 = 20 meters / sec.
So lenght of the train = 18 * 20 = 360 meteres
Time taken to cross the platform = 30
Total distance covered in 30 sec = 20 * 30 = 600 m
lenght of platform = 600 - 360 = 240 meters

Answer is B let dave complete task in x hrs and diana in y hrs. Together they will complete the task in xy/(x+y) hrs (this is useful formula please remember) so extra time that dave took = x-xy/(x+y) = x^2/x+y = 20 similarly for diana extra time = y^2/x+y = 5 so x^2/y^2 = 20/5 => x: y = 2:1 = Dave:D...

total evnelop = x+1
if difference is 3 then the total no of 2c env. = (x+1)/2 + 3/2
total cost of 2c env. = (x+4)*2/2 = x+4
total no of 5c env. = (x+1)/2 - 3/2
total cost of 2c env. = (x-2)*5/2
total cost = x+4+(5x/2)-5 = (7x - 2)/2
hence B.

lets say we have 5 no = a,b,c,d,e for quetsion we have e= c+3 avg = (a+b+c+d+c+3)/5 > c => a+b+d+3 > 3c (1 Statement 1 : All no. are different so d can be c+1 or c+2 hence (1 => a+b+4 > 2c (2 or a+b+5 > 2c (3 if a = c-10 and b = c- 9 (2 => -13 > 0 (3 => -14 > 0 if a = c-2 and b = c-1 2) => 1 >0 3) =...

total no of factor of 5 = 60 /5 = 12
total no of factor of 5^2 = 60/25 = 2
total no of factor of 5^3 = 60 /125 = 0
So total no of trailing zeros = 12 + 2 = 14

Greatest values less than or eqaul to [-1.6] = -2
Greatest values less than or eqaul to [3.4] = 3
Greatest values less than or eqaul to [2.7] = 2
so the value = -2+3+2= 3

total no of portion of paint needed = 3 + 5 = 8
total quantity needed = 2 gallon
So we need (3*2)/8 = 3/4 gallon white paint and (5*2)/8 = 5/4 gallon black paint.
Minimum Quantity of white paint = 1 gallon
Minimum Quantity of black paint = 1.5 gallon
Total = 1+ 15. = 2.5 Gallon .
So E is the answer.
