I think MGMAT is the best non-GMAC indicator of future performance. I took 3, got 640, 660, and 730. I got a 780 on the real thing.
I think time is best spent by taking each GMATprep 2 or 3 times each, rather than on other CATs.

Here's my debrief: Classes and Practice Tests I took Manhattan GMAT's online course over the fall, from September til December (9 courses). Overall, I think it was pretty good. MGMAT's strenghts are Number Properties, Word Translations, and Sentence Correction. I didn't like their RC and CR methods ...

780 (Q50, V47)
Hey everyone,
I finally took my GMAT this morning and scored a 780. I was looking for 750 or higher, so suffice to say I've hit my goal. I'm at work right now but I'll write a full debrief either later today or sometime over the weekend.

Same boat here, I took acct at a local community college and I'm not taking Basic corporate finance with Hyman at Berkeley UNEX. I did OK in micro- and macro-econ in undergrad, so I don't think I'll be retaking those.

What did you think of the GMAT Hacks book and problems? Are they similar to what you saw on the real test?

Have you taken GMATPrep tests? How did you do on those? I don't trust Princeton, Kaplan, and other CAT tests. The only one you can base your future performances on and against is GMATprep.
I would download it and see what your weaknesses are before continuing your study.

Rather than taking Kaplan tests, I would suggest taking a GMATPrep test -- these are the best indicators of how you will do. It will also show what your weak areas are so you can brush up before the real thing.

I have read in a few places that MIT Sloan is the one school where applying in R1 has a clear advantage over applying in R2.

Re: RC and CR techniques
I'm taking MGMAT's course and they suggest taking notes for CR and RC. Problem is I think doing this takes too long. Has anybody used this technique and how effective is it? Maye I just need to get more practice and take notes faster... Definitely take these tips with a grain of salt--the right str...

I am tied between A and B as well. I like B because of "his" rather than "the" referring to arm and hand.
