Some advice: I think probably you need to change the way you study a little bit. You are putting in 4 hours a day but I feel you are not using the time to analyze the questions and work on your weaknesses, rather you are trying to complete 'n' number of chapters/questions. I don't think you can calculate your score based on the results of your paper test. GMAT is a computer adaptive test and has a very complex algorithm to come up with your final score. I suggest you download and take the GMAT Prep from www.mba.com, this will give you a fair idea of your score.

goyalsau, I feel you should also take more mock GMAT tests. There are a lot of free tests available (check the 'Free GMAT Prep Resources' box on the BTG homepage) and trying those will help you build your mental stamina. Also, complete the AWA questions in the mock tests as it'll give you a better s...

I don't think you are expecting too much! If you want to get into a top b-school, nothing should stop you :) My take: get a great score in GMAT and gather up some good work-ex over the next few years. You have lots of time and I don't think a low GPA should bother you too much. Also, do some researc...

I don't see anything wrong in dreaming big :) In fact read this thread for some inspiration: http://www.beatthegmat.com/3-yrs-4-attempts-finally-740-the-story-of-my-metamorphosis-t72531.html I think your plan of applying this time to middle range programs and retaking the GMAT later this year seems ...

If you're confident that you will get a 700+ on your next attempt, I would probably say go for it. But I really don't think "extreme levels of practice and preparation" will help. My take is that either there is some flaw in your way of practising, analyzing and understanding questions dur...

Why is this thread so dead? I'd definitely expect a lot more activity on a Bangalorean thread! :) Anyway... just for everyone's information, there is a seminar this Saturday which might be pretty helpful for you if you're applying to a b-school sometime soon. And it's free, so just drag along a frie...

Yes, you will have to put the grading policy of the university. In my transcripts, the number of hours/week for every subject is also mentioned. I hope you have contacted the universities you're applying to and confirmed whether transcripts attested by your college authorities will be acceptable. Pl...

I saw the attachment and it seems fine to me, pretty much like the transcripts I obtained from my university. I suggest you get the transcripts on the college letterhead, attested and stamped by the director or registrar etc. and then get it sealed by the college authorities. And another thing, some...

Hi Sachin, Transcripts contain the details of all the subjects(and marks obtained) which you have studied as a part of your degree. Which university have you obtained your degree from? I think you should contact your college office for more information on how to obtain your official transcripts. AFA...

I don't think the answer is D. In my opinion, it's E. Consider 200 people apply. 50 percent enquire and submit applications, that makes it 100 people. A says: 15% are accepted. That is 15 people out of 100. Out of these, we don't know how many will actually enroll. So this is insufficient. B says: 8...

Forbidden, There are a number of big players in the GMAT prep space and I can suggest a number of good institutes for you, but I'd like you to do a little research on your own first so as to find the best course to suit your requirements. Some aspects you should look for in a good coaching institute...

It happens! I bought the OG about 2 yrs back, prepared on and off. Lost track so many times! Then in July this year, I decided enough was enough and I booked my GMAT date for August. Took it too lightly and one week before my GMAT, I postponed it to September. After that, I focused totally on prep a...
