another data sufficiency question
At a certain pet shop, 1/3 of pets are dogs & 1/5 of pets are birds. How many of the pets are dogs?
1) There are 30 birds at the pet shop
2) there are 20 more dogs then birds at the pet shop.
How do i solve with the 2nd information given by itself. Please explain.

In the figure above, if x & y are each less than 90 and PS // QR, is the length of segment PQ less than the length of segment SR?
Please explain step by step and some rules I should know.

so why can't it be ... devices (plural noun) ... protect(plural verb)? How do i know that the word "protect" goes with the noun "compliance (singular noun)?
