Hello Experts,
Now that we have the option to choose between two new adaptive tests (via Exam Pack) and a set of official GMAT questions (via Question Pack) does it make sense to go ahead and buy the question pack?
I've already decided to buy the exam pack as its adaptive and gives you a score. I might be taking the GMAT exam next month so these two additional tests would help me gauge my score level in exam conditions. However, I'm pretty confused whether question pack is a must or not. Having exhausted OG13 I still feel its better to review the OG questions once again, rather than going for a whole new set of questions in such a short period of time. Need some expert advice on this.
Thanks & Regards,
Vivek

Hi Vivek,
I have bought the Question Pack. I must say the Quants are definitely a notch above the kind of quant questions we see in the Official Guide. I am not sure how much of overlap does the ExamPack1 make with the Question pack. But if you want to have more official question for practising, I would vouch for the QuestionPack1. Once again , my 2 cents.

@guerrero
To the best of my knowledge there is no overlap between the GMATPrep Question Pack 1 and GMATPrep Exam Pack 1. I have gone through all of the questions(quant only) in the GMATPrep Exam Pack 1 and I haven't seen any that are in Question Pack 1. The Official GMAT reps have also confirmed this in another post on GMAT Club.
@mevicks
My personal opinion is that GMATPrep Question Pack 1 is valuable for creating timed practice tests that one can intersperse during their GMAT preparation. The question pool in the QPack1 is fairly recent, I would say over the last five years, and in that sense they reflect the exams a lot better than the OG 13th. Also, I always advise students to not redo GMAT problems, because they lose their difficulty and challenge if you have seen them once before. What makes GMAT difficult is the novel ways that test writers test a core set of ideas, and the best way to prepare is to get exposed to official GMAT questions that have all the right twists and turns.
As far as how best to use the GMATPrep Question Pack 1 for creating practice tests, please see the link below.

- GMAT Score:710
I would recommend that you buy both. It's the only source from the GMAC that breaks down the questions by difficulty level. If you're aiming for a 700+ score, you have to do well on the Easy and Medium questions. The Hard questions are truly difficult. As a rough estimate, I'd say you should aim for:
Easy: >90% correct
Medium: >70% correct
Hard: >50% correct
