Hello,

I am new to this forum and want to apply to an MBA program soon (in a year or two) I plan to give GMAT towards the end of the year.

My profile is :
GRE: 1490
TOEFL 115
MS in Information Security (GeorgiaTech) GPA: 3.65, graduated Dec 2012
BTech in Info and Comm Tech (India) GPA: 3.2 graduated May 2011
Joining Big 4 Security Consulting Associate (Feb 2013)
No extra curriculars in MS but decent extra co-curriculars in undergrad
Summer Intern at Time Warner, USA (Internal IT Auditor)
No work exp

Can some one answer my following questions regarding the applying to an MBA program:
1. Is it a good profile to apply this year without giving GMAT based on my GRE score to the top 10 schools?

2. Do all top 10 schools take GRE score these days?

3. If I do give GMAT and wait till next year to apply what more should I try to do over the next 2 years to make my profile more attractive (other than good GMAT score)?

4. I have settled on the following threads as a must-read before doing my own reserach. Can anyone add any more threads to this list:
https://www.beatthegmat.com/new-admissio ... t5595.html
GMAT prep material: https://graduatestudiesinusa.blocked...loads.html

Please reply soon as I am eager to start my MBA application journey

Thank you.

Hi Shailee,

Regarding your queries:

1.Is it a good profile to apply this year without giving GMAT based on my GRE score to the top 10 schools?
I would suggest you to apply with minimum 2 yrs. of work exp. You can try your chances in b-schools by clicking https://www.general-ed.com/chances-of-bschool

2.Do all top 10 schools take GRE score these days?
For more information, click https://usbschoolapplication.in/

3.If I do give GMAT and wait till next year to apply what more should I try to do over the next 2 years to make my profile more attractive (other than good GMAT score)?
You can add leadership skills, professional achievements and other aptitudes in your profile.

Good Luck
Yash
