Subject is - Range, singular
so, A & C out.
B has two problems. 1) if - is wrong here, in GMAT if is applicable only if it is a conditional statement(if-then), otherwise, use whether.
2) or whatever is wrong, because this is independent idea and hence should not be in parallel with other career options. AND is better.

E also has 2 issues, 1) .... your needs whether one ...this is wrong
2) also or whatever is wrong.

range requires singular verb - has.
so A,C are out.
between if and whether, if is used to introduce condition and whether to introduce alternatives.

Hi,
I have a doubt with regards to the usage of 'whatever'

is 'Whatever ' acting as a .. blanked out.. what is the type of the word : 'whatever'?

Don't you guys feel whatever should have been followed by 'may' or 'is' in the OA.

Kindly help..

I think answer is D. Following are my explanations...

Menlo University's range of graduate programmes have been developed to fulfil your needs whether you intend to pursue a career in industry, business, government, NGOs or academia, and whatever your background.

A. have been developed to fulfil your needs whether you intend to pursue a career in industry, business, government, NGOs or academia, and whatever - SV
B. has been developed to fulfil your needs if you intend to pursue a career in industry, business, government, NGOs or academia, or whatever - Background is different and industry is different so these 2 comparision must be done using AND not or.
C. have been developed to fulfil your needs whether you intend to pursue a career in industry, business, government, NGOs or academia, and whatever - SV
D. has been developed to fulfil your needs whether you intend to pursue a career in industry, business, government, NGOs or academia, and whatever - Correct
E. has been developed to fulfil your needs whether one intends to pursue a career in industry, business, government, NGOs or academia, or whatever - Can not mix between one and you.

------
I have recently started developing my fundamentals, so I could be incorrect.
