i have planned to write GMAT around April 2009 while i am targetting B-Schools around jan2011.
Can you suggest for which intake should i apply i.e. for August 2010 or Jan 2011.
And can you give a breif idea what are the various scholarships available and to what amount

Deciding when to apply is really a personal decision. The quick answer is whenever you feel is the best time for you professionally, personally, financially, etc.
If you are applying for FULL TIME programs, I suggest you apply in the first round. In previous years, applying in R1 was seen to give a 'slight' advantage (as less candidates apply in R1).
Regarding scholarships - I recommend contacting your target schools to find out what is available for students.... particularly if you are an international student (as there are not many available, if any).
