first of all we find the probable answer of the given problem and they are "yes" or "no"....so even if we get a NO we would say that we have the answer.
using option (i) we get that 11.3 % people of the total population are 65 or older..there is no mention of the term employed given in this ...so we can not find the percentage of those who are 65 or older who are employed...so (i) is not sufficient.
using option(ii)---now among those who are 65 or above we would have some men and rest as women...among men we have 20% of them as employed and among women we have 10 % of them as employed...so whatever be the ratio of men and women the total percentage of 65 and above who are employed would always be between 10 and 20 percentage....therefore at leas 10 % of 65 and older are definitely employed....hence this alone is sufficient...
hence the answer is B....
i hope it is clear...

Solution:
Let the total population be 'P'.
Let us first consider statement (1) alone.
This means that (11.3% * P) is 65 years or older.
But nothing has been mentioned about the number of people who are employed.
Hence, statement (1) alone is not sufficient to answer the question.
Next, consider statement (2) alone.
Let the total number of persons who are 65 years or older be 'n' and the number of men from among these 'n' be 'x'.
That means that total number of employed persons from among those who are 65 years or older is (20%*x) + 10%*(n - x) = 10%*(n+x).
The question is asking whether 10%*(n+x) >= (10%*n), which is always true since 'x' is positive.
Hence, answer to the main question is 'yes'.
Or statement (2) alone is sufficient to answer the question.

The correct answer is (B).
