Improving Focus and Memory?
This topic has expert replies
I miss a lot of problems due to lack of focus (overlooking minor but important details) rather than due to not understanding concepts. Are there any resources/exercises/games that can sharpen one's focus, and improve one's memory for the test?

As odd as it may sound, a professor actually recommended this to me in an old class: eat foods high in potassium like bananas, cantaloupe, and raisins. At the same time make sure you don't deplete any of your body's own natural potassium by eating foods high in sodium (salts) as sodium breaks down potassium. Potassium is not only good for your health, it is what strengthens your memory. However, if you study with bananas make sure during test day you have a banana because your mind will be conditioned to you eating one while studying.
Good luck!

I've also heard that chewing gum also helps to improve memory (it has something to do with the movement of your jaw or something. I don't know exactly, I'm not a scientist ). I know you're not allowed to chew gum during the test but perhaps in your preparation..?
Personally, I like to do puzzles like suduko and other strategic games to warm up my brain and get in the habit of thinking strategically.
I also have become accustomed to studying with background noise (such as the TV) so that I can almost train myself to drown out everything around me and zero in on what I'm trying to do. I don't recommend that for everyone obviously, but it works for me.
But that's just my opinion! Best of luck!
