I am an INDIAN female

i am looking for MBA in Marketing in a US B-School.....

GMAT SCORE---610 ( 49/25 )

GRADUATION --- B-Tech (in Information Technology) with 73% ( considering my university toppers get around 83%)

SSC(10th)---80%

HSC(12th)---70%

I am affiliated to an NGO that helps orphan children.

For past 1 year i have been working as a manager in Aptech Institute (if you don't know about Aptech, it is among the best computer coaching institutes in India)

My extra-ciriculars( first prize in national level hockey, college level awards in chess, carrom and badminton, was in the organizing commitee in many of these sports )

What really concerns me is my verbal score, so can u rate my chances in following universities..

1) University of Maryland (SMITH)
2) Rice University (Jones)
3) Arizona University (Eller)
4) Boston college (Carroll)
5) Case Western University
6) Purdue University (Krannert)
7) Emory University
8) University of Rochester
9) University of Wisconsin (Madison)

I'm sorry to be discouraging but considering the information above, your chances of admissions to the above nine schools is poor with your best best bets being Boston College, Rice, and University of Wisconsin. I strongly encoruage you to retake the GMAT and try your best to improve your verbal score.

Best,
Linda
