Profile Evaluation

by Ana111 » Sun Apr 17, 2016 7:02 pm
Hi,
I scored a dismal 620(q43, v32) on GMAT and I am not sure about retaking the GMAT.

My target schools have their avg GMAT within the low 600s- I am planning to apply to business schools in Canada.
1. UBC, Sauder
2. McGill, Deasutels
3.Concordia, JMSB
4. HEC

I have 3.5 years of experience in Staffing and recruitments and has handled multi million dollar clients for a growing staffing firm.
Undergrad: Btech(IT) from a state university in India with first division(66%)

Could anyone please advise if I have a shot at these colleges?

Thanks,
Ana

Hi there,
Yes of course you have a shot! However it will really come down to what you did in your role, what responsibilities you've had, what accomplishments you've made and any leadership role you have demonstrated. Also they will want to know what your post MBA plans are and why you are interested in those schools - how can they help you achieve your short and long term goals. Since those schools have an ave gmat of 600 then you should be fine but if you want to make your profile that much more competitive and you have the time and desire to write again, then I would go for it.

All the best,
