I'm retaking the gmat in 2 weeks, but I don't expect to score anything higher than a 650.

GPA: 3.8 - large midwest state university - marketing & international business major with study abroad experience in Europe and Asia
Work Experience:
1.5 years with large marketing research company in NYC as an analyst consulting large CPG companies
2.5 years with large tech company in the Bay Area first managed digital advertising for clients across multiple industries and now implementing marketing best practices on the global marketing team
First in family to go to college
International work travel to Europe and Asia
Extensive community involvement in and post undergrad
Post MBA Goal:
Brand Management
Schools: NYU, Columbia, HBS
Profile Eval - Black Female, 4 years experience, low gmat

I already have had multiple minority candidates with sub-650 GMAT scores accepted to Columbia in round 1. Also, none of these came from two underrepresented groups. So, a 650 would be competitive for all schools.
Since you already plan to apply to NYU, I would suggest you do so through the Consortium (https://www.cgsm.org/member-schools/) of which NYU Stern is a member school. By applying through the Consortium you will be able to apply to more than one school at a time and be eligible for Consortium Fellowships.

I wanted to follow up on this thread. Even though my gmat score did not improve as much as I had hoped, I applied to 6 schools (Duke, Columbia, NYU, HBS, Indiana, and Kellogg). I completed interviews with Duke, Kellogg, and Indiana and received an HBS interview invite yesterday! Still waiting to hear back from NYU and Columbia.
