Hey,

My life ran away and GMAT was put to a halt. I'm now back up on it for the 'n'th time. A few questions to help me find the right tutor in the Washington DC metropolitan area:

1. Which institutions are ranked the best for their tutors in the DC area?
2. Would anyone have any recommendations for individuals who are teaching the GMAT, are really good, and are willing to work with me on my verbal? My verbal is what needs primary help.
3. I can't believe I'm finding private tutors from $100 - $250 an hour. I don't even know if the investment is worth it. Anyone help in this area? What about 'CHEAP'? I need help here.

I am SOOOO sick of trying and trying again for finishing this GMAT exam. With running marathons and now competing for Ironman...life runs away :(.
-------------------
Sincerely,

Piyush A.

I can't help you that much since I'm not based in Washington DC. If you're looking for verbal prep though, I think that most of the big prep companies offer courses in DC. However, they're pretty expensive... From what I'm told, an hour of tutoring is usually as expensive as you've mentioned, i.e. more than $100... That is, unless you can find someone who has discount rates. You could check out www.gmatix.com for a listing of tutors!
