by pavithra » Thu Sep 10, 2009 9:04 pm
Hi

Could someone suggest which one is better - the powerscore CR bible or powerscore verbal bible??? I already have the manhattan gmat SC guide and I really need help just on the CR section.

Appreciate any inputs.

Thanks

ive never used the powerscore verbal bible.. but IMO the CR bible is the best at what it does. it will teach you a lot of extra stuff that you think you won't need on the GMAT, but trust me all that stuff helps. by getting the MGMAT SC guide and the powerscore CR bible, and studying them (and also understanding why you got certain problems wrong), you should be fine with verbal.
my GMAT debrief: https://www.beatthegmat.com/came-through ... 44327.html

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right, but it will not come near you.

- Psalm 91: 5-7

Get the CR Bible. I scored V38 on my first GMAT attempt and then realized that CR was one of my weaknesses. After purchasing and studying the Bible, I re-took the GMAT and scored V44. I owe much of that improvement to the CR Bible - get it!
