The easiest way to solve this problem is to actually count the dots on the graph that fit the given criteria. We must find the cars that weigh more than 2,500 pounds and get more than 22 miles per gallon. Since the weight is in "hundreds of pounds," a reading of 20 is actually 2,000 pounds, a reading of 25 is actually 2,500 pounds, and a reading of 30 is actually 3,000 pounds.

To find the cars that weigh more than 2,500 pounds and get more than 22 miles per gallon, we need to locate the dots to the right of 25 on the horizontal axis and above 22 on the vertical axis. When we do this we count 5 dots.

Answer: B
