Did not include middle name in registration

by poodiee » Sun Aug 31, 2008 3:38 pm
OMG!

When I registered for my GMAT exam, I only listed my first and last name. I did not include my middle name. My identifications show my first, middle and last name.

Anyone have any idea if I will not be admitted due to the lack of my middle name in my GMAT registration?

Its less than 48 hours before my paper, so I can't change anything. Thanks.

Best thing to do is to call them. I don't think it would be a big issue, just bring plenty of proof you are who you said you are.

called

Seeing how today is a sunday, I called the Asia number.

The guy told me that first name and last name is fine. Well, still a bit worried.

Worst case scenario - get rejected on Tuesday, come back and register for Wednesday's paper. $250 down the drain.

Just have to stay calm and stop panicking, I'm at the peak now.

Kaplan CAT - 640
Princeton CAT - 660
MGMAT 1 - 660
GMATPrep 1 - 740
MGMAT 2 - 670
MGMAT 3 - 690
MGMAT 4 - 710
GMATPrep 2 - 760

Just hope all this anxiety over a small detail doesn't screw me up. Even considering registering for the same exam time with my first middle and last name just to solve the problem once and for all.

Thanks for the help.

Trust what they told you and RELAX! This is so not worth worrying about. Most people probably don't register using their middle initial.

You will be so peeved at yourself if you blow the GMAT because you're worrying about this!!!

turns out the middle name is not a problem.

Thank you for contacting Pearson VUE.

The middle name will not affect your testing. As long as your first and last names match exactly, your ID will be acceptable.

On a more cheerful note, got a 740 (97%) today. Q49 V42.
Was hoping to get a 760, like my GMATPrep 2, but can't complain. Now the application nightmare begins.
