IR: OG vs. GMATPrep

by metallicafan » Sat Jul 13, 2013 8:04 pm
Dear GMAC:

Are the IR questions of the OG enough to get a good score (5-8)? I have compared those questions with the questions of the bank you sell for the GMATPREP, and the questions of the OG are remarkable easier.

For example, the graphic questions of the OG usually show common graphics such as histograms, but the graphics of the GMATPrep questions banks are not so common :s .

In other words, can someone with only the OG get a good score (5-8) in the IR section?

Thanks!

Hello, metallicafan. All IR questions from Official GMAT guides and materials are representative of what you would see in the exam, and include questions of all difficulty levels. As for whether the OG guides are enough to score a 5-8, while the questions will certainly give you a good idea of what to expect in the exam, and an idea of your own capabilities, we cannot guarantee a specific score.

The practice exams in GMATPrep include the new IR section, which should give you an idea of where you can expect to score during the exam.

Good luck!
