I'm feeling really insecure about my EC's (or lack thereof) right now!
Goal: HBS
Profile:
730 GMAT
3.8 GPA
Fast mover at Fortune 50 company, currently managing a team
Age 27
EC's:
RA in college for underprivileged minorities
Big Brothers Big Sisters for 6 months
loose work with a local non-profit for the past 2 years (helping with marketing, press releases, promotion etc.)
Any thoughts on what I can do to boost this part of my application? I am applying for R2, so time is not on my side. Will this be a deal breaker at top schools?
Thanks!
Will EC's be the end of me?

I don't think you gotta worry. There are many candidates with a lot less stuff. The thing to do is to milk it all to the last drop, i.e. using your stories right to maximize what you gain from them. So great results, marvelous leadership, fantastic teamwork is all in order.

Hi,
With the given time in your hand we would say that please say positive. You have decent things in your EC'S. Now you should work on how you will present them in an effective manner. Use the application space wisely so you highlight all key aspects

HeyArnold, no need to be insecure. As Jon@Admissionado wrote, "There are many candidates with a lot less stuff... Use your stories to maximize what you've gained from each activity."
Mentoring children or joining the Board of a local nonprofit - two great activities that provide opportunities to meet professionals outside of your network, enhance your existing communication skills, and demonstrate the well-rounded person you are.
If you are concerned that your current activities do not add enough 'depth' to your application, consider becoming a volunteer consultant who assists nonprofits with its strategic challenges. Organizations such as SCORE, Net Impact, USALC, or Taproot can be a great partner in your volunteer explorations. These organizations solve meaningful strategic challenges of both nonprofits and small businesses in need.
Thank you & good luck,
