GMAT Advanced Course

by rockone » Mon Sep 08, 2008 9:34 am
How does this advanced course differentiate from the normal course? I know the eligibility for students and instructors is higher, but as far as content and teaching method, how is it "advanced?" What is the average score for students who complete this course? Thanks for your time.

GMAT Advanced

Hi Rockone,

The GMAT Advanced course is specifically for students who are already scoring at the 600+ level. While our general Classroom Course has certainly helped thousands of top-scoring students over the past decades successfully, and is comprehensive in its approach, the Advanced Class was designed for students who want to be in an environment where their classmates will definitely be at a similiar level. This means the course is a bit faster-paced, with a more frequent emphasis on the toughest questions. In addition, our Advanced Course includes 2 hours of private tutoring, so that you can get personalized attention on the areas you want more help on. Overall we've seen great student satisfaction in both course options, but if you're already scoring 600+ and find an Advanced schedule that works for you, it can be a way to move a bit faster with others who are already at that same level.

Hope that helps, let us know if you have additional questions!

Hi Jen

Could you elaborate a bit more on the course content for the advanced course? What is the split between advanced theorem and strategy? What sort of areas does it concentrate on etc?

Thanks

Brad

Hi Brad,

The GMAT Advanced course is essentially similar to our regular GMAT class. It covers the same strategies and techniques--it just implements them on a higher-difficulty selection of problems, and spends less time reviewing fundamental skills like isolating variables or identifying clauses.

I hope this helps!
