Hi Stacy,
I am planning on applying in Round 1 for Fall 2012 admission and I am seeking a bit of feedback on my chances for some of the top B-schools.
My undergrad GPA was a 3.2 from Union College with a degree in Econ. I scored a 750 on my GMAT with a 49 Quant and 42 Verbal. I have worked 4 years at a family business outside Boston doing business strategy and development while also co-founding a non-profit for a rare brain disease.
I am wondering how my non-traditional work experience combined with a strong GMAT and strong extracurriculars would allow me to stack up at schools like Tuck, Darden, Kellogg, Fuqua, and Yale.
Thanks!
-Mark

Dear Mark,
You have a competitive profile. How you will fare through the admissions process will depend on how well you present your background in your application packages. It is imperative each piece of your package strengthens it rather than provides a reason to reject. Likewise, you will need to convey how each program is a good fit for you.
Best of luck,
Lisa
