Yeah, you're totally right here...that semicolon must just be a typo because "As business grows more complex" isn't an independent clause.
One other thing I think is really important about this question is that it demonstrates the importance of knowing and using the major decision points. "More and more" probably sounds a little awkward to most of you compared with "increasingly", but that distinction isn't a known GMAT decision point. Verb tense, however, is, and choice B is the only one that gets that perfectly right.
We're stuck with the current-into-the-future "as business grows", but A and D dig into the past ("have been"), so they're inconsistent with our timeline. Even C and E with the present tense "are being" fail to recognize that this is a trend that is progressing and not just happening in the now, and both also use the past tense "who majored" or "having majored" so they further jumble the timeline.
