Let thr right hand player and left hand player be 45 each
2/3rd player absent means 1/3rd present
30 players out of this 1/ 3 are left handed So 10 Left hand player and 20 right hand player
ratio of the player that was not present that day Number of right hand/ number of left hand
25/35
Ans=> 5/7

first one :- 1/2*4*h=12
h=6
means Y intercept = 6
When there will be positive and when there will be negative slope? Confused:(

See below 3 lines are there in the picture.
1. Red: Angle subtended by this line with X axis is less than 90. Slope is +ve. (Remember trigonometry? TAN(angle) is the slope)
2. Blue: Angle subtended by this line with X axis is equal to 90. Slope is infinite(cannot be determined).
3. Green: Angle subtended by this line with X axis is greater than 90. Slope is -ve.
Now try solving the actual problem. You are almost there but as of now your answer is wrong

the two points are now (4,0) & (0,6)
Slope = y2 - y1/ x2-x1
slope = 6/-4 = -3/2
but since the question says that they have a positive slope, hence y intercept = -6
