Well, 4 months after getting a smack down (read here: https://www.beatthegmat.com/best-course- ... 49418.html) I returned for another round in the ring. I stepped out with a 710 (Q45 V42). While the percentages (Q45/74th and V42/95th) arent ideal, I'm going to role the dice and go forward in the admin process.
I took a Manhattan 9-week course that ran from the first week of January to the first week of March. During this time a did a lot of manhattan guide studying, but didnt do very many official guide problems like they tell you to do. The class ended March 10th and I spent the next 2 weeks doing all the OG problems using their excel problem tracker. I originally did these by type (NP, WT, Geo, FDP, etc) but as time went on I started doing blocks of 10 questions at a time. I used the stop watch for all questions whether individually or in blocks of 10. Timing was a huge problem for me the first time, so I wanted to be very diligent this time around. I took some practice tests this past week to build stamina going into the test. The results are below:
GMAC GMAT #1 (3/24)
Q 40
V 42
670
MGMAT #4 (3/25)
Q 42
V 35
640
Power Prep #1 (3/26)
Q 44
V 41
700
GMAC GMAT #2 (3/27)
Q 42
V 44
710
I think the practice tests were a pretty solid predictor of performance on the actual test.
Best of luck to everyone out there.
I'm out! (unless, god forbid, adcom comes back with a request for the dreaded 80/80 split)

hhmm i don't know how to explain it exactly.... but in short you can use it to answer questions as you go through the OG guide as prescribed by the study guide books... then you export that sheet and paste it into another spreadsheet and it keeps track of how much time you spent on each question... whether you got it correct or incorrect... the topic... and i believe the level of the question (not too sure about the last point)... i unfortunately was unable to use this problem tracker because I have a Mac and the good people over at MGMAT have not made the tracker compatible!
this is my only gripe with the MGMAT course that I paid so much money for.
