BTG Daily Digest

by sud1 » Mon Mar 01, 2010 3:07 am
Hi
Does BTG have a section where I can subscribe for daily digest of the forum topics instead of having to visit everyday.
--thanks

We don't have a daily digest but we do have RSS feeds set up: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/rss-feeds

Can you tell me a little more about this idea? This sounds like something we could build for you.

Thanks. Noticed that RSS feeds are cumbersome to be useful (for me atleast). I was wondering if BTG can send a daily digest i.e daily of all the poics that got updated that day. They can be in main catgories like Math, Verbal, MBA discussions etc. I am interested in the former two. That way daily I can look forward to the email, Basically it is an email with hyperlinks to all the posts in teh previous day. Each post is included with clickable title and the actual question. I click on teh link to get into the website, see the discussion so afr, post my reply etc.

This sounds easy enough. I think you can do this via feedburner, right? Any other platform recommendation?

I tried feedburner, it didn't work out for me. GmatClub has this feature and is very useful. I get a 3 daily emails of all the topics (V, Q, MBA discussions with just the questions and links.), I do them and mark them for later retrieval and easy access if I have good topics to look back again etc.

Very cool. Let me do some research on this. We have a long queue of new features we want to develop, but maybe we can fit this into our next few releases.

Thanks Eric. That would definitely be helpful to members.
Also since you asked, I might as well suggest below. Can we have "Daily Level Questiosn of day" - Daily email sent to subscribers with 4 (or whatever number but certainly not more than 5 etc) questions for every section like besically questions acc. to their level
Quant section
Q1) 500 level
Q2) 600 Level
Q3) 700 level
Q4) 750+
Same for verbal or categorize which ever way you want (PS, DS, SC, CR). What the heck, throw in a RC passage occasionaly!.
Other(sites) already have this some form or other (Q of teh day/week etc). Basically provides a diferent view of the content that already exists here. Would be nice I suppose.

Great suggestion--and one that we're working on too. :)

Thanks!
