Which of the two has larger area - the rectangle or square?
1). the width of the rectangle is equal to the side of the square
2). the length of the rectangle is numerically equal to the area of square.
Ans : D.
Any clue?

I think ans should be A.
1. width of rect = side of sqr.
as length > width, length of rec > side of sqr
hence area of rect > area of sqr
2. if length of rect = l, width of rect = w, side of sqr=a
l = a^2
now l x w = a^2 x w , which might be greater than a^2 if w>1 or less than a^2 if w<1
so not insuff.
