“The most effective leaders are those who can solve complex problems by finding simple immediate solutions.”

The true virtues of an effective leader have been defined time and again by many sociologists and philosophers and so it has put forward many variations of them. However in my analysis I conclude that there are many other traits too, which are expected in an effective leader other than the ability to just solve complex solutions by simple immediate solutions.

As the word 'leader' suggests, a leader leads the group or masses by setting up an example for them by his special traits and abilities, the very important of them is that of being of a strong moral character which is expected and widely acceptable by the majority of the people. If a person does not have strong character and values, people do not pay any regard for any of his abilities even if it is that of solving issues in an effective manner. To people the integrity of the character attracts more than the power of brain.

Another most expected virtue of an effective leader is that he should believe in the team work. He should make other people do wonderful things which will solve issues of their lives. A good leader brings out the good things in the people. He provides the Midas touch to convet them like himself. He tries to make the mass become as great as he is. Thus, if a person who makes the masses an effective problem solver will naturally become more effective a leader than the one who just believes in his being the only problem solver. One of the best examples to cite here is that of the great leader of our times - Jack Welch who always championed making the solution process so simple that every one, even those at the grass root level can contribute in the development significantly, and become fully aware of this at the same time.

Additionally an effective leader is the one who apart from providing the solution has the incredible vision to see what others cant see. His vision makes him aware of the incoming issues. At the same time the leader must be an excellent communicator. A good communication skill does not only help immensely in understanding a problem but its always very well used in explaining it to the masses who can again pay a very effective role in solving the issue.

Thus we see that while providing a simple immediate solution is an important trait of an effetive leader, there are many other desired abilities are sought in an effective leader.
