The technique of "ping-ponging," which permits overdubbing of audio sound tracks, has not been used as much from the time of the advent of computer-based recording.

a. as much from the time of

b. as much since

c. as much as

d. much as after

e. much because of

The answer should be B.

A. as much from the time of makes the sentence wordy and awkward "as much from the time of advent of"
B. as much since.
C. as much as. Incorrect comparison
D. much as after. This indicates that the ping-ponging has been used more often after the advent of computer-based recording.
E. much because of. Alters the meaning.

OA please.

In choice D, I dont agree the meaning that the ping-ponging has been used more often after the advent of computer-based recording because the sentence would be:

The technique of "ping-ponging," which permits overdubbing of audio sound tracks, has not been used much as after the time of the advent of computer-based recording.

Agree with you on this. It does not alter the meaning as indicated in my earlier post but it creates an awkward sentence and is therefore ruled out.

What is the OA for this one ?

IMO it should be "B" as this is referring to time , for "E" the modified sentence will change its meaning.
