If R and S are positive integers. R is what percent of S

(1) R=3/4 S

(2) R+S=75/100

I thought the answer was A, but OA is D.

you may want to check this problem.
it's clearly impossible to add two positive integers and get a fraction (like 75/100), so statement (2) has clearly been transcribed incorrectly.
that's such an obvious error that i don't think we'd see it even in the worst-quality materials ... so there's definitely no way that you'd see it on an official problem!

please check your sources and post back. thanks.

hi manishankar
see again in the problem
(2) it is (R/S)=75/100, you mistook (/, division) with (+) substraction
with this correction the problem is solvable one

ok, that makes a lot more sense. thanks for updating the problem.

with that new second statement, you can reduce to r/s = 3/4, which is the same as the first statement. therefore, each of the individual statements is sufficient.
