Scored 780 in GMAT

by gmataspirant001 » Wed Jun 18, 2008 9:02 am
Hi all,

I never posted here, but I have been to this site along with others during my past two years journey toward this score and I want to give back. Before this, my scores ranged from 580, 640, 620 with mediocre quant scores never higher than 35. My verbal started off with 70% before settling in the 90% in the previous two. Today my quant scored almost doubled in percentile from 35 to 48 (44% to 85%) and despite the fact that I have not looked at a single verbal problem in the past two months since I took the test in March to focus on quant, I scored 46v (99%). I was skeptical that I could improve my score. I should says thanks to GMATPass.com for the prep materials they have created . it was simple awesome and enabled me to secure this high in GMAT . Had it not been for gmatpass , i would have probaly scored in 580-650 . Iam looking at getting in to Top 20 unis and hopefully will be admitted .

Best Regards,
George

Congratulations!!
Thats a smashing score.

Can you elaborate more about the gmatpass.com tool?

I checked their website and have few questions:
-Is gmatpass.com just for Quants?
-If they have verbal too, then how good is their verbal?
-How many full length tests do they provide?
-Can the gmatpass.com tests match GPrep CAT's or atleast are they good enough to tell a test taker, his or her score range with a fairly good accuracy?

(Sorry to bombard you with a lot of qsts. I have taken GMAT twice, with NO luck. Besides, I dont have a lot of test materials to practice with)

Thanks in advance!!
Good Luck with apps.

I have scored high in verbal and low in quant....and I have not been able to get good advice on how to improve my quant....can you please elaborate on what you did/what you studied/how you studied...to improve your quant by that much?

any advice is greatly appreciated as I need to go from a 35 in quant to around a 42. Thanks!

Maybe it's coz George has never posted here before and his first post sounds like a marketing gimmick for gmatpass.com . Hmmm fishy fishy.

Anyhoo, congrats

i agree with caramel. these losers are posting high gmat scores yet they have no advice on how to practice. they give us some lame websites to go to....i don't trust all the posts here because people can just post bull*shiit...stuff

Yep! sounds like a lame marketing post to me. Most people that scored this high mentioned using the OG books along with the OG CAT prep tests.
