mgmat score 640

by mkhanna » Sun Aug 09, 2009 12:46 am
I scored a 640 on the MGMAT practise test. 47 in quant and 31 in verbal.

Is the MGMAT reflective of the actual gmat score? the quant section seemed to be much tougher than the GMAT prep tests...

feedback apprecaited.

Thanks.

The Quant section of MGMAT tests is definitely more difficult than the actual GMAT. It is very good practice though because I saw some VERY difficult questions on the actual GMAT.

I found the verbal to be a bit off. I didn't agree with all of the RC and CR questions. Some just didn't feel very GMAT like to me. I think my highest verbal on MGMAT was 36. On my two GMAT attempts my verbal scores were 41 and 39.

What study materials are best for improving verbal? I know MGMAT SC is great, but what about for the other sections?

Although I`havent took a shot at the GMAT yet, I feel the same way as dmateer25 about MGMAT Verbal stuff, it`s "philosophy" seems different than the Official GMAT material.

To the OP, if you took the GMAT Prep tests already, then compare your scores from the prep test to the MGMAT test.

Math is slightly more difficult.

Verbal is challenging, but different in a way.
