Hi,

Based on your information, please find below an evaluation on your candidacy at the above mentioned schools:

1. Your GMAT score is good, and for schools like Cornell and UTexas, great. You haven't given an exact breakdown, but as long as you are above the 80 percentile level in both sections, with one over 90, you should be fine.

2. Your overall GPA is a little low. Typically 3.5 and upwards is what we recommend one should have to be considered safe. Nonetheless, it should be a netural aspect in light of your application review.

3. Your professional experience seems good, and the career progression is excellent. Of course, what were these designations is an important aspect to consider, but still. CPA should be an added plus. Internships also look good.

4. The teaching experience in China should add a unique aspect. Your extra currics seem good, but as you haven't stressed too much on them, cannot make accurate comments. VP Of Beta Alpha Psi should be a great leadership example.

Looking at the profile, I feel there are some aspects that are missing. Of course this is based on only the information given above. For eg: sports, literary events, leadership at work place, awards, recognitions at local or national level etc.

Your chances at Cornell and UTexas seem pretty good. For NYU and Yale your profile seems good enough to apply but cannot comment on how safe or 'sweet spots' they would turn out to be :) In my opinion, Columbia and Chicago should be a tad bit out of reach (based on the above profile; if there are added aspects please consider them).

However an excellent admissions package, with great essays, should make you competent at all the above schools.

Hope this helps. All the best.

Regards,
Ankit
