I got a 590 on my GMAT (V 34(69 per) Q 36(42 per)). Have not got my official score as of now, so do not know about the AWA. I am very disappointed. I expected a lot more. I know this is not a good score but I am looking at applying to NUS Singapore. About the schools in USA I really do not know which could be the schools I could apply to so I would like if it someone gives me some options. I want to specialist in Strategy and Organization or in Human Resources.
I am a BCA(Bachelor of Computer Applications) Graduate
GPA : I have a 75% from Stella Maris College, Chennai - It says first class on my degree certificate. I do not know how to convert this to a five point GPA.
Work :
I am a Risk Analyst at Ernst and Young. I started in May 2010 so I have worked for around 1 year and 2 months now.
=> Was part of the Revenue Assurance team the telecom company "Aircel" and was given a lot of responsibility. I was solely responsible for the checking of the new products and had to give a go ahead on behalf of my team for the launch of the product.
=> Was part of the statuary audit team for telecom giant "Bharti Airtel" and helped analyse the billing of the towers used for infrastructure
=> I have scripted in ACL to analyse data for various companies like "Xerox" and process reports
=> Have been part of the IMAS team and have done JE Analysis for various companies
Extracurricular:
=> Was the best outgoing student from my department in my college
=> Was a reporter at the college online newspaper for three years
=> President of the Paw Pals club in college
=> Participated and won many inter-college competitions in cooking and shipweck
=> Was part of the organizing committee for various programs in college
=> Was called to participate in the Best Business Speaker competition for all students from South India held by British council
Other personal facts that I think I interesting :
=> I love cooking and I've won a couple of cooking competitions
=> I can solve a rubicks cube
=> I can talk/debate/orate/play quiz master/host a fashion show/be an emcee. I think I have good stage presence.
Ya so thats about me. Do you think I have a chance at NUS? Can you suggest some other schools at the US which I could look at in the US?
Scored just a 590 :( Need a profile evaluation

In my opinion you have very less experience as of now. You should wait for a couple of years before applying. That will give you an oppotunity to take additional responsibilities at work and opportunities to showcase and build your leadership skills, which are vital for any B-school admission.
Moreover, you should write GMAT again. Give it time, at least 3-4 months, study well and aim around 700. MBA is done once (well, usually) so do it from a university, the experience of which you will cherish, both personally and professionally. So take some time to build your profile and apply when you are ready.

NUS actually requires minimum 2 years work experience, so you would probably be too close (for comfort) to the limit when you join.
Either way, you have a good base for a well rounded profile. Retake your GMAT, build up your work experience and go for higher ranked schools.
Good Luck!

I agree with the other posters. Focus all your energies on the GMAT. Then, evaluate your MBA options once you feel that the score is the best you can achieve.
Good luck,
