Hi All,

In the below question OG-10, Q263, OA is D. For kicking out B, OG gives the following reason

"Choice B is incorrect. Although an "-ing" verb such as destroying can sometimes act as a noun, in this case the usage is strained."

Can someone please help me understand what does OG mean to say here. Why usage of destroying wrong here.

Destroying would be a Gerund. Gerund are verb forms which can act as nouns. Here the proper noun would be the destruction.

Thanks. But what problem does this destroying(gerund) create :-). Can you please help me understand the same ?
