A) -- leave them alone, corral them and to .... they are not parallel constructs.
B) to leave them , to feed , to corral and ..to... here to is not required as it is the last element in the comparison, its kind of understood ...so my answer is B.
C) use of and is the problem here ...alone while they feed themselves and then corral them and
D) this is i passive voice which should be avoided in favour oc active voice, the only thing that has to be done with cattle
E) Same as above.

I received a PM requesting that I discuss reasons to eliminate D.
D: The only thing that has to be done with cattle is leave them alone while they feed themselves, corral them, and drive them to market when the time is ripe
Here, it is illogical to equate a PASSIVE ACTION (to be done) with an ACTIVE ACTION ([to] leave them alone).
In addition, it is nonsensical to define a SERIES of actions performed at various times -- while the cattle feed themselves, when the time is ripe -- as THE ONLY THING that has to be done.
Further, it is questionable whether ANY action may rightly be considered a thing.
Eliminate D.

D and E: Incorrect because they say " the only thing..." and then give two 'things' that need to be done
1) to leave them alone ... and
2) corral them and drive them to the market...
A and B: Parallelism violated.
"...feed themselves, corral them, and to drive them"
"...to feed themselves, to corral them, and drive them ("to" missing)..."
C: Best choice. Maintains parallelism "...leave them... and then corral them and drive them...". Hence, C is the answer.

the most important word in C is "and". we have 2 "and" here. this seems un parallel .jaymin wrote:# It is an oversimplified view of cattle raising to say that all one has to do with cattle is leave them alone while they feed themselves, corral them, and to drive them to market when the time is ripe.

"and " before "corral" help us separate "corral and drive" from "leave. this mean "when time is ripe" is applicable only to "corral and drive" but not to " leave. the meaning is good
the word "then" help us confirm this case. "then" mean "corral and drive" are done after "leave". this is good.
we corral them and drive them to market when the time is ripe.
choice d mean.
when the time is ripe, we leave them while they feed themself, corral them and drive them to market. this meaning is not logical.
if we see 2 "and" for 3 items, we will not have 3 parallel items but 2 parallel groups.
this is tricky when we are in the test room.
