Hello,
I am new to this forum and I was wondering if you could help me. I wasn't really sure where I should post this question, so please don't get too angry with me if I have posted under the wrong topic. I am planning on taking the GMAT within the next six months hopefully four but I am saying six just in case I need more prep time. I graduated from college in 2001 (Auburn University). I have been working in my field as an accountant since then. I have reached a point in my career where I can't go any higher. I have been wanting to go to graduate school for quite some time but due to personal issues this hasn't been possible until now (father killed by a water spout, mother diagnosed with cancer, and my grandmother recently passed away after being in the hospital for 90 days). I want to give myself at least four to six months to prepare for this particular exam because it has been so long since I have taken an exam such as this. It has also been eleven years since I have stepped foot into a college classroom. I have decided that I want to take the self study approach but I can't settle on which books I should purchase to prepare for the exam. I was considering the Princeton Review book (Cracking the new Gmat 2012 w/DVD and ordering the OG (most recent version. I have also thought about purchasing the PR math workout book and the verbal workout book (Princeton review). How does the PR compare to Veritas and the Manhattan prep books. I have also considered the Kaplan prep books and the powerscore books. Can you point me in the right direction as to which prep books that I might need? I don't remember what I actually scored on the SAT but I did graduate from Auburn with a 3.5 GPA if that helps any. I have been looking at reviews online for several days and I am having a very hard time deciding. My goal is to try and hit above 700. With all of the options out there how does one decide on the correct prep materials for self study? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

"Target Test Prep is the closest to the official version of the GMAT exam, about 99% accuracy in terms of the quality and quantity of information. The course has excellently created singular sets of focused lessons and tests for every possible topic that one could come across in the official GMAT exam."
"The TTP course maximizes the efficiency of the time you spend studying. It will take time and effort but I could almost guarantee that if you complete the course exactly as it is laid out you will get an amazing score. They also have a very responsive team willing to help with any questions you might have."
"TTP has two things that I think no other test prep company offers: A teaching approach that reinforces understanding and an attitude that will give you the mental preparedness needed to succeed on the test. TTP gives you a deep understanding of the concept you need to know while teaching you how to think."
