IMO E
Stm1
X/Y = 7/9
X=7 and Y=9 therefore, X < Y
X/Y = (-7)/(-9)
X=-7 and Y=-9 therefore, X > Y
Thus, Stm1 INVALID
Stm2
XY>0
-7 * -9 > 0
X = -7, Y = -9 therefore, X > Y
X = -9, Y = -7 therefore, X < Y
9 * 7 > 0
X = 9, Y = 7 therefore , X > Y
X = 7, Y = 9 therefore, Y > X
Combining Stm1 and Stm2
We have
XY > 0 and X / Y = 7 / 9
Implies,
Case 1
X is -7 and Y is - 9
OR
Case 2
X is 7 and Y is 9
In Case 1.... X > Y
and In Case 2 X < Y
Therfore, IMO E
