I dont mean to sound rude though..but i am not certain..what you mean

What do you mean by Investment Banking Job in India?

Investment Banking can and may include all these
Wealth Management
Private Equity
Asset Management
Investments Placement
Front Desk Dealing (Mostly in treasury)
Venture Capital
Risk Management
Information Management
Economists and Analysts (R&D)
Equity & Market Research
Public Relations
Funds Management
Acquisitions and Mergers

all the above mentioned are separate need seperate experience and focus..I suppose considering your Economics background you should try for Economics and Research..however most of the NBFC and Banks in India are not involved much in this area however it doesnt harm trying :)

ALL THE BEST..

You dont necessarily need an MBA...just need to know the right people to get the job.

cooldude -

among all the sections above, the ones that deal with stock fall into many like wealth management, front desk..

I'm in Private equity/venture capital...so i can tell you off the bat that these sectors don't necessarily deal with stock...you deal with private companies.

if you have any questions with pe or vc..i can def help!

gluck!

:D
