In the trapezoid above with height \(x\), the sides with measures \(y\) and \(z\) are parallel. What is the area of the trapezoid?

1) \(y+z=\frac{20}{x}\)
2) \(x=2\)

The OA is A

the area of trapezoid = $$\frac{y+z}{2}$$ * x
Since statement A states that y+z= $$\frac{20}{x}$$ we can get the area by substituting this value in the above formula.
So, $$\frac{20}{\frac{x}{2}}$$ * x = $$\frac{40}{x}$$ * x = 40
Answer is A
