How many pages does today's newspaper consist of?

(1) Yesterday's paper and today's papers have a total of 66 pages.
(2) Yesterday's paper has three fewer pages than twice today's paper.

The OA is C.

I don't know how can I use both statements to get an answer. Experts, can you help me? Please.

Y = pages in yesterday's paper
T = pages in today's paper

(1) Y + T = 66 --> not sufficient as we do not know Y
(2) Y = 2T - 3 --> not sufficient as we do not know Y

Together: solve simultaneously (you don't need to do this step but for the sake of completeness the solution is below)

put Y from (2) into (1) then solve for T:
Y + T = 66
2T - 3 + T = 66
3T - 3 = 66
3T = 69
T = 23
