ABCD is a parallelogram on xy rectangular coordinate plane, three of the four vertices of parallelogram are (5,15) , (5,25) and (-5,15). Which can be the coordinate of fourth vertex?
A. (-5,-5)
B. (5,15)
C. (-5,-25)
D. (-5,10)
E. (15,25)
I am getting,( -5, 25) as the vertices of the 4rth vertex

A vertex at (-5, 25) does, indeed, create a parallelogram. wrote:ABCD is a parallelogram on xy rectangular coordinate plane, three of the four vertices of parallelogram are (5,15) , (5,25) and (-5,15). Which can be the coordinate of fourth vertex?

BUT, (-5, 25) is not one of the answer choices.
A vertex at
(15, 25)
also creates a parallelogram.
Answer: E

Connect the three dots. wrote:ABCD is a parallelogram on xy rectangular coordinate plane, three of the four vertices of parallelogram are (5,15) , (5,25) and (-5,15). Which can be the coordinate of fourth vertex?

Now to form a parallelogram you can make any one of the lines of the triangle the diagonal of the parallelogram.
You will now get three possible coordinates for the 4th vertex of the parallelogram : (-5,25) , (15,25) , (-5,5)
The only one available in the options is (15,25) which is E.
